The Astrological Association of Great Britain publishes a journal and newsletter and offers membership benefits for astrologers who join this premier organisation for the promotion of astrology.
The AA also arranges an annual conference that attracts speakers and delegates from around the world. The Astrological Association's conference for September 2000 is in Reading, England. Full details of this leading event are updated regularly at the website.
This fascinating site is devoted to the promotion and investigation of these modern and radical forms of astrology. Uranian astrology was developed in the early twentieth century by a group of German astrologers including Alfred Witte. Midpoint astrology - or Cosmobiology - is the work of Reinhold Ebertin. The site is constantly growing and changing - set aside a couple of hours to look at the wealth of material that is available.
The Faculty of Astrological Studies is one of the most respected teaching bodies within astrology. The Faculty offers a Certificate course for beginners; students who would like to train to a professional level may work for the Diploma award. Courses are offered by correspondence, with skilled tutors offering support and guidance, for students who do not live in the London area.
A site collecting links to downloads to some of the best astrological freeware is located at Ronald Bromley's page. Go here to download the world famous Astrolog freeware. This program is a marvellously comprehensive piece of software that will take you a long way in learning astrology.
Other recommended downloads include Ham-W, Midpoints and Astrowin. Please be aware that a good working knowledge of computing is useful to get the most out of all of these programs (especially Astrolog). However, it is worth perservering with them if you want to explore some of the generous work of astrologer/programmers using the internet.
The Centre for Psychological Astrology teaches a range of seminars on psychological approaches to astrology. Tutors include Liz Green and Karen Hamaker-Zondag.
The Company of Astrologers offer a traditional approach to astrology including divination. They also run a residential weekend during February, generally in Brighton, England.
The Mountain Astrologer magazine is distributed in England by the Wessex Astrological Group. The magazine is one of the best astrological publications in the world.
